A set of test objects for checking the parameters of the X-ray equipment "TRTI"

Price from: $ 1

X-ray television introscopes (RTI) are used to detect items prohibited for carriage by air: in hand luggage and baggage of air passengers, cargo, mail and on-board supplies. They must have technical characteristics that ensure the detection parameters determined by the "Certification requirements for special technical means of ensuring aviation security", put into effect by the FAS of Russia on 12.02.1997. and comply with the specified characteristics and their technical descriptions. Those. specifications Test object TO-1 is a three-stage aluminum wedge 90 mm long and 100 mm wide, with steps of 4.8 mm, 7.9 mm, 11.1 mm, behind which are placed 5 copper wires with a diameter of 0.1 mm; 0.25 mm; 0.19 mm; 0.15 mm; 0.12 mm. When checking on the introscope, the diameter of the wire and the step behind which it is visible are determined (the test object is used to determine the detective ability of the introscope). The detecting ability is the minimum diameter of the copper wire detected under the aluminum wedge. Test object TO-2. It consists of two containers made of plexiglass, measuring 25x40x45 mm, filled: the first with sodium chloride NaCl, the second with sugar. When checking the introscope, a different coloration of the images of these containers should be observed on the monitor screen. (The test serves to determine the discriminating ability of the introscope.) The discriminating ability is the ability to distinguish materials with different atomic numbers by the color of the staining on the screen of the introscope: usually organic (yellow-orange) and inorganic (blue-green). -3. It is a 50 x 175 mm steel wedge with seven steps, thickness: 20 mm; 22 mm; 24 mm; 26 mm; 28 mm; 30 mm; 32 mm. Under the wedge along its entire length there is a lead plate 1 mm thick and 10 mm wide. When checking the introscope, the step of the wedge is determined, behind which the lead strip is still visible. The thickness of this step determines the penetrating power of the introscope radiation. The penetrating ability is the maximum thickness of the step of the steel wedge, transparent for X-ray radiation. Test-object-TO-4. It is a brass plate 80x80x1 mm. There are slits in the plate, which form line gratings with the parameters of 0.5 pairs of lines / mm, 0.33 pairs / lines and 0.25 pairs / lines mm. On the screen of the introscope, it is checked on which gratings the slits are distinguished (allowed). This test is used to check the resolution of the introscope. Resolution – the dimensions of the copper grating stripes, distinguishable on the monitor screen (pairs of lines per mm). Test object TO-5. It consists of three steel plates, each 25×30 mm in size and 0.15 mm thick; 0.1 mm; 0.05 mm. This test determines the linearity of the penetrating power of the introscope for small thicknesses. At the same time, three gradations of density of blue-gray color are visible on the monitor screen, depending on the thickness of these plates. This kit does not require special maintenance.
